Bayern should have contacted Unai Nunez from Athletic Bilbao should have contacted - for the winter. But the center-back is not an issue. Does BVB benefit from this?
After the absence of Niklas Süle (cruciate ligament rupture) and Lucas Hernández (ankle joint), Javi Martínez and David Alaba have to help out in the center of defense - and do their job properly.
That seems to be one of the reasons why Bayern want to keep their feet in the winter transfer market. Unai Nunez of Athletic Bilbao, whom Bayern should have contacted a few weeks ago, is not issue for the Bavarians, according to report from Spox.
Accordingly, the Bavarians want to take time until summer to decide on a commitment of Nunez. After all, the personal situation at Säbener Strasse could look quite different: Jerome Boateng and Martinez are considered to be the say-good-bye candidates.
And maybe another club could be ahead of Bayern. Also Dortmund, Arsenal and Everton reportedly keep an eye on Nunez. The result is still unknown. But at least for BVB, the Spaniard would probably rather a candidate for the next summer.
