Algeria has recently been hit by severe wildfires across multiple regions, and French forward Karim Benzema has expressed his support for the affected people through social media.

Benzema wrote: "My heart goes out to the victims of the Algerian wildfires, their families, the injured, and everyone experiencing this ordeal."
The wildfires have affected several regions, including Tizi Ouzou, Béjaïa, Skikda, and Jijel, and have garnered widespread attention and solidarity within Algeria. The fires have burned hundreds of hectares of forest, and some residents have been forced to flee to beaches to escape the flames.
According to data released by the Algerian Ministry of Interior, 12 people have died so far, though local reports suggest the actual death toll may be higher.
Local authorities stated that continuous high temperatures and strong winds have intensified the fires, making it difficult for firefighting aircraft to contain them. Rescue and firefighting efforts are currently ongoing.
