Betting Tips: Leeds vs West Brom

The Baggies travel to Elland Road to face Marcelo Bielsa's out of form side in a game that will have a massive impact on the Championship title race

West Brom head to Yorkshire on Friday night in a game that could have huge ramifications come the end of the season.

Darren Moore's side are breathing down Leeds' neck and with Marcelo Bielsa's team suffering a massive dip in form the Baggies might fancy their chances to win this one.

Leeds are slight favourites for this game at odds of 5/4 (2.25) with bet365 West Brom are longer at 5/2 (3.50) whilst the draw is 12/5 (3.40)

There are no new injuries to report for either side. The visitors have a fully fit squad for this fixture whilst Eunan O'Kane and Stuart Dallas remain long term absentees for Bielsa's side. Izzy Brown may start for the first time this season after his injury nightmare.

This is shaping up to be one of the most important games of the Championship season so far.

Leeds are experiencing what has now become a familiar wobble. The Whites have won only four of their last 11 games and find themselves outside of the top two.

Meanwhile, West Brom's January signings have made immediate impacts and they are still in the hunt for promotion.

A loss last week to Sheffield United didn't help their bid but the Baggies seem to be mentally stronger than Leeds at the moment.

With Leeds' recent troubles it is almost unbelievable that West Brom are such a long price at 5/2 (3.50).

There is no doubt that there is value to be found in backing the visitors as Bielsa's side just haven't looked like promotion contenders since the new year.

West Brom to avoid defeat has lots of value at 4/6 (1.67) but the best bet of the week has to be backing the away team on the handicap result (-1) market at 11/2 (6.50).

For this bet to win the Baggies must win by two goals or more and this selection looks too big to ignore based on Leeds' struggles.

The Baggies are lethal in front of goal and their pace leads to great counter-attacking opportunities which is where the home side are most vulnerable.

Leeds looked poor against QPR and the last time a promotion rival visited Elland Road they were comprehensively beaten 3-1 by Norwich. A repeat of that performance could well be on the cards and at 11/2 (6.50) West Brom look worth backing to heap more misery onto the faltering hosts.
