Brahim Diaz completed his dream move to Real Madrid on Monday morning.

And it soon became clear that it's not just the famous white strip and playing at the Bernabeu that has attracted the 19-year-old to the Spanish capital.

An old throwback picture from his Instagram account has been unearthed that shows Diaz as a ball boy with an adoring look on his face as he glances towards new team-mate Isco, and Santi Cazorla.

Diaz was a ball boy at Malaga, where Isco played between 2011 and 2013 before his move to Los Blancos.

The picture, posted in November 2016, is accompanied by the caption: 'I always wanted to be a professional footballer. #tbthursday #ballboy'.

Diaz was beaming with pride as he was unveiled as a Real Madrid player following his £22m move from Manchester City.

Despite playing only 49 minutes of Premier League football during his time in England, Real have splashed the cash on the talented Spaniard.

He spent over five years in City's youth setup, having joined from Malaga back in 2013 as a 14-year-old.

During the presentation, the midfielder was flanked by his dad Sufiel, his mum Patricia and his four sisters Zaira, IIaira, Dunia and Irina on stage as he proudly held aloft the No 21 shirt alongside president Florentino Perez.

Upon signing a six-and-a-half year deal, he said: 'This is the happiest day of my life, I couldn't have a better gift for Three Kings Day.

'I had three options after deciding to leave Manchester City. One, play at Real Madrid, two, play at Real Madrid and three, play at Real Madrid. It was impossible to go anywhere else.

'I understand the responsibility of playing with this shirt. I will give everything from the first day.'
