In October 19, Getafe drew 1-1 with Rayo Vallecano in La Liga Matchday 9. After the match, Carvajal spoke to DAZN about his debut for Getafe.

Carvajal returned to the pitch after being sidelined for nearly five months due to injury.
Carvajal said: "I'm very happy with my first appearance for Getafe. I'm delighted. We didn't start the match well, conceded a goal, and had a player sent off very early. We need to focus on the positives. Faced with difficulties in the match, the team regrouped and ultimately managed to equalize."
He added: "Many times, holding on without conceding further doesn't win you the game, but at least it doesn't lose it. This point is positive."
Carvajal, returning to the field after months of absence, admitted he faced challenges during the match, particularly against winger Álvaro García, whose pace presented a significant test.
Carvajal explained: "It wasn't easy. I hadn't played an official match for almost five months, and I was up against a very fast player like Álvaro García. I felt good initially, but then I cramped up, so I asked to be substituted. I'm very happy to be back on the pitch enjoying football. Now, I need to find my rhythm through training and matches to reach my best form."
Finally, Carvajal discussed Getafe's upcoming busy schedule. The team will host Lugano in a European competition on Thursday. He stated that all squad players must be prepared to help the team at any time.
Carvajal concluded: "Now we have a match every three days. This Thursday, we will play Lugano at home. The coach must rotate the squad, and each of us will be ready. We still have five or six consecutive matches before the international break. We must focus on recovery and try to get as many points as possible."
