Celta Vigo player 'broke lockdown & drove 1864 MILES from Spain to Denmark'

Celta Vigo winger Pione Sisto has broken the clubs internal quarantine policy during lockdown in Spain.

The 25-year-old drove from Spain to his home country Denmark during the countries lockdown due to the coronavirus outbreak.

Sisto informed the Galacian club of his trip - totalling 1864 miles - after he had already left the country.

It has been reported by COPE Vigo, that the trip took him 26 hours to drive as he left Spain after the state alarm had been extended by a further 15 days.

The club spoke on the matter, claiming: 'the matter will be resolved internally.'

The Dane has not enjoyed his best season with Celta Vigo before LaLiga was suspended due to the COVID-19 virus.

He had scored two goals from 19 appearances.
