Javier 'Chicharito' Hernandez scored his first goal for Sevilla in their Europa League opener at Qarabag, but that doesn't guarantee him a spot in the starting line-up in Sunday's game against his former club Real Madrid.
Ahead of the encounter at the Estadio Sanchez Pizjuan, Julen Lopetegui indicated that there should be focus on the team's overall display rather than the performance of individual players.
"We will see how the players recover, how they are and we will wait until [Sunday] because there is little time and there are small nuances that we have to clarify," he told the journalists at a press conference, when asked about the Mexican striker's chances of starting.
"The media impact that I like is when they praise my team, who are playing well.
"The team is always above individuals."
Chicharito opened the scoring in the game against the Azerbaijan side with a stunning freekick, leading his team to a 3-0 victory.
