Chelsea transfer news: With just a few days left of the transfer window, the Blues have turned their attention to Manchester City star Cole Palmer as their new priority target.

Chelsea are preparing for a busy final few days of the summer transfer window, with potential incomings and outgoings still on the cards.

As far as outgoings are concerned, the majority were filtered out early in the market, allowing for an aggressive push towards recruitment afterwards. Several high-profile signings have been made, with hundreds of millions of pounds spent on trying to strengthen the squad.

The Blues don't appear to be done there though, as football.london understands that the west London outfit are still looking to sign a forward that can play on the wing as well as a No.10. A whole host of names have been linked with fulfilling that role, with the latest being Manchester City's Cole Palmer.

The England youth international has impressed with his limited appearances so far, with huge contributions in both the Community Shield and the UEFA Super Cup this season. With the deadline creeping ever closer, Chelsea are going to have to work fast to get this deal over the line.

With that said, here's a look at the latest on Cole Palmer and a potential move to Stamford Bridge in the final few days of the summer transfer window.

Chelsea bid rejected as City set price

Chelsea have seen a £35million bid for Cole Palmer rejected by Manchester City on Wednesday, according to a report from the Evening Standard. The England youth international is viewed as the top target for the Blues before the summer transfer window slams shut on Friday.

Manchester City are said to be open to a sale, but have set their valuation at roughly £50million, though they could be negotiated with to lower that slightly.

Manchester City stance

talkSPORT have revealed that Manchester City are willing to let Palmer leave this summer, but only if Chelsea meet the right price for the youngster. The forward had worked under Joe Shields at the Etihad, who is now working for the Blues as co-director of recruitment.

Talks begin

Chelsea are set to open talks with Manchester City over a move for youngster Cole Palmer, with the hopes of landing him as a late addition to the squad. That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who claims that the Blues "really want" the forward.
