Thibaut Courtois has managed to clear some of the doubts around his ability to adapt to the Real Madrid goalkeeper role, thanks to an emphatic performance against Galatasaray.

The Belgian showed up when the team needed him most with two critical saves in the first minutes of the game to prevent the Turkish side from taking the lead at a time when Los Blancos' defence were struggling.
"Today was an important game, we had to win no matter what to get some oxygen and continue in the Champions League," he told Movistar+ after the game.
"This is a stadium with a lot of atmosphere and we were awake from the beginning.
"They had chances that I stopped well.
"Everyone was very motivated and this is the intensity that we have to put out, and we will win many games."
Courtois went on to stress that he doesn't pay attention to much of the criticism.
"I never doubt myself, but we know which club we are and that there are people who like to talk," he added.
"I am only interested in constructive criticism."
