Courtois sends a warning to his teammates

Thibaut Courtois was key to Real Madrid's narrow 2-1 victory away at Celta Vigo and produced another outstanding performance to help Los Blancos secure all three points.

The Belgian goalkeeper pulled off a couple of big saves in the first half to deny Denis Suarez with the score at 0-0 and Iago Aspas from a freekick after Real Madrid had taken the lead.

"We have suffered, all the games I have played in Vigo have been very hard," Courtois told Movistar.

"I don't know if we deserved to win because I made two saves in the first half."

A warning

Courtois also stressed that Real Madrid tend to lack intensity at times during the game and warned that Chelsea may punish them at Stamford Bridge.

"Celta move the ball well, they're very intense and in the first half we didn't press well. They could always play and it was a bit complicated for us," he added.

"Winning was very important. Chelsea lost at home and they will be very strong on Wednesday. Sometimes we lack intensity and Chelsea are very good at that."

Controversy sparked after Real Madrid were awarded three penalties at the Estadio de Balaidos, but Courtois believes that the referee made the right decisions.

"All three are penalties," he noted.

"The first and the second, yes. Perhaps the third is the one that I can't see that clear from my goal, but if you put your foot there...

"The disallowed goal? He shoots, I make a save and Aspas disturbs the [player] who is going to [clear] the ball."
