Ahead of their La Liga opener against Valencia on Saturday, Barcelona are still scrambling to register as many as players as possible. The likes of Inigo Martinez and Pau Victor are yet to be signed up to La Liga, thus placing their involvement at the Mestalla in doubt.
Dani Olmo had also not been registered following his move from RB Leipzig last week. However, this is no longer the case, as according to Josep Capdevila, Barcelona have taken the necessary steps to ensure that their star signing will be able to face Valencia this weekend.
Olmo’s registration has been necessary for Barcelona, as there are doubts about their midfield options ahead of the trip to Valencia. Pedri is only just returning from injury so he won’t be risked, while Fermin Lopez could also be rested after his busy summer. Ilkay Gundogan is another candidate to play as the 10, although he could be used in a deeper role because of the lack of pivots at Hansi Flick’s disposal.
