Dear fans,

Normally, I don't pay too much attention to external reports about me, the team, or the club. But recently, there has been a lot of speculation about my injury and my situation at Barcelona.

It makes me sad that some false reports have caused people to question my relationship with the club and my commitment.

Football is everything to me, and I have always given my all for Barcelona and my national team. That's why I want to share the true course of events.

I injured my knee during the World Cup. After the first examination, the doctor told me it was only a minor injury, and that continuing to play would not worsen it.

The only difficulty was having to endure some pain. But throughout my career, as long as I can contribute to the team, whether at the club or national level, I have always pushed through.

During my vacation, I returned to Barcelona for further examinations. The results showed that my injury was more serious than initially assessed.

Fortunately, surgery is not required at this stage. I am now fully focused on recovery and hope to return to the pitch as soon as possible.

Every day, I strive to stay in the best possible condition.

I take my profession, physical condition, and responsibility to the team very seriously.

But sometimes, some things are beyond your control, and this injury is one of them.

It fills me with immense pride to play for Barcelona and the Oranje (Dutch national team).

My commitment to both teams will never change.

I will continue to give my all for this crest, my teammates, and our fans.

In the future, we still have many great moments to create and many goals to achieve together.

Thank you all for your continued support.

I can't wait to come back. 💙❤️🧡

Long live Barça forever.

De Jong
