Ahead of the fixture against Real Valladolid, Atletico Madrid presented Diego Costa with a commemorative plaque as he reached 200 matches with the club, yet the former Chelsea forward was quick to turn his attention back to on-pitch matters.
Empty stadia have become common place, but Costa is urging his teammates to go out with the same attitude as always when they play their first game at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano since the restart.
"We know that our fans are the best in Spain, if not the world, and we have to play with the mentality that they are here watching us," Costa said.
"You notice that the support of the fans isn't there, but we know our objective as we have nine finals from now.
"We have to win at home, it's fundamental to our objective."
When pressed on his own individual achievement in the Spanish capital, the striker was humbled by the presentation made to him.
"It's an honour to play 200 matches for Atletico Madrid," he confirmed.
"When I arrived, I simply wanted to play.
"I never imagined playing so many matches, but thank God I had the happiness and possibility to do it.
"I'm so happy."
