Lionel Messi is getting closer all the time to winning his sixth Ballon d'Or -- and his third in a row.
The Barcelona star sat out the 0-0 draw with Huesca at the weekend but his nearest rival, Paris Saint-Germain's Kylian Mbappe, didn't take advantage of his absence.
Mbappe failed to score in PSG's game against Lille as the French league leaders were hammered 5-1 and made to wait for the title.
Keeping in mind the Fabio Quagliarella, who is third in the rankings, has scored 11 goals fewer than Messi and the fact there are only six gamers left, the Italian is basically ruled out.
Mbappe is six goals behind Messi and has work to do if he wants to catch the Argentine before the season is out...
