Real Madrid will face Liverpool in the Champions League final in Paris, which has led many social media users to recall Gareth Bale's man-of-the-match display in the final between the two teams in 2018.
The Welshman came off the bench in Kyiv, Ukraine, to net a brace and lead Los Blancos to a 3-1 win and their third consecutive Champions League trophy under Zinedine Zidane.
"Bale is an animal when he wants to [be]," wrote one user.
"Doesn't matter who is the goalkeeper."
Bale's goals against Liverpool
Bale netted one of the best goals in Champions League history to restore Real Madrid's lead in the second half. Los Blancos had previously opened the scoring through Karim Benzema before Sadio Mane netted an equaliser.
"He'll be coming in the 80th minute and scoring a hat-trick," said another user.
Liverpool pushed for a second and even hit the woodwork before Bale scored a stunning bicycle kick to make it 2-1. The Welshman scored a third after a huge howler from Loris Karius.
"I always try to put a bit of wobble on the ball," Bale told the Daily Mail back in 2018.
"It's the same with free-kicks. You try to make it more difficult because if it doesn't go in the corner I always give them a problem if it's right down their throat.
"I just said [to Karius], 'keep your head up'. Mistakes happen. It's just unfortunate it's in a final. Yes, I suppose it's not quite as bad as it looked but I suppose he should save it."
Another user went as far as to publish a picture of WWE legend The Undertaker and predict that Bale will rise from the dead in Paris.
