Former Real Madrid player Jose Luis Fidalgo Veloso sadly passed away on Thursday at the age of 82.
He made his name at Deportivo La Coruna before making the switch to Real Madrid, where he played a role in securing four trophies.
"Jose Luis Fidalgo Veloso, who was a forward for Real Madrid between 1965 and 1969, has died at the age of 82," the club announced on their website.
"Real Madrid shares the grief of his family and we expresses our condolences for his passing."
Los Blancos also recalled part of the striker's playing career.
"He came to the club from Deportivo La Coruna prior to the season of the sixth European Cup, and he finished his spell wearing white with three consecutive league titles," Real Madrid added in their statement.
"At Real Madrid, he played 41 games, in which he scored 20 goals, and he shared a forward line with legends such as [Paco] Gento, Amancio and [Ramon] Grosso."
Veloso, who was born in Santiago de Compostela, was part of Real Madrid's "ye-ye", a generation of players who dominated Spanish football in the 1960s under the command of Miguel Munoz, one of Los Blancos' greatest ever coaches.
