The former player is one of six people investigated in the same proceedings for alleged involvement in an organization that trafficked drugs in and around Santander.

The investigation began in late 2024 after Jonathan Valle's arrest. According to the prosecution, the former footballer was a member of a gang suspected of drug trafficking in different parts of Cantabria.

At the same location, the police also seized 1,955 euros in cash, which the investigation showed was the proceeds of drug dealing.

The prosecution's indictment accuses the defendants of multiple crimes against public health. Specifically, the indictment lists five crimes related to substances that pose a serious risk to health, such as cocaine, and one crime related to hashish.

Different sentences are requested based on the level of involvement of each defendant as determined by the Public Prosecutor's Office. For two of the defendants, the prosecution is requesting a seven-year prison sentence and a fine of 120,000 euros. Another defendant is requested to be sentenced to five years in prison and a fine of 200 euros due to repeat offenses. In addition to Jonathan Valle, two other defendants are requested to be sentenced to four years in prison, while for the sixth person involved, the prosecution is requesting a two-year prison sentence.
