Frenkie De Jong began his professional career at Willem II in 2015 and transferred to Ajax for a fee of €1 a year later. He played 3 seasons with Ajax, winning the 2018–19 Eredivisie and was named the Eredivisie Player of the Season. In 2019, he signed for La Liga giants Barcelona in a deal worth a reported €75m fee. On 14 September 2019, he scored his first goal for Barcelona. Now, he has become one of the most competitive backs that form Barca's defending line!
