Future Real Madrid starlet Endrick Felipe “cries” after scoreless run continues in Brazil

There was such excitement among Madridistas in December when Real Madrid confirmed the signing of Endrick Felipe from Palmeiras, who will join next summer. The 16-year-old is a regular starter for the Brazilian giants, and is regarded as one of the best young players in world football.

The youngster admitted that it was his dream to play for Los Blancos, but since his move was confirmed, his performances have stagnated. In the ten games since, he has failed to score a single goal.

In the early hours of Thursday, Palmeiras defeated Bragantino, with Endrick being replaced on the hour mark having once again failed to net. In the dugout, he appeared to be visibly upset, and his coach Abel Ferreira confirmed that he had cried upon being replaced, as per Relevo.

“He covered his face because he cried. I just criticise myself for not giving him a hug, because that’s what he needs. You don’t have to lose the smile on your face. He’s going to score, he’s going to miss, but he’s 16 years old.”

All footballers experience poor runs of form, and with Endrick still being a teenager, it is natural that he will have spells when he is not at his best. Real Madrid are unlikely to be too concerned about his barren run.
