Liverpool legends Steven Gerrard and Jamie Carragher are set to captain teams next summer in the last ever match to be played at the club's Melwood training ground.
The Reds are moving into a new training facility on the academy site in Kirkby in time for the 2020-21 campaign.
As reported by The Athletic, Liverpool offered the chance to play in the final game at Melwood at the 10th anniversary gala dinner for Carragher's 23 Foundation.
One supporter paid £14,000 for him and his friends to be part of Carragher's team, with Gerrard subsequently stepping in to captain the other team.
Liverpool's new training base will cost £50million, with the current Melwood site set to be sold off for housing.
The club have trained at Melwood since the 1950s and the site underwent a major redevelopment in 2001 when Gerard Houllier was Liverpool's manager.
Work on the Kirkby site commenced in the summer of 2018.
