Match Report

In a tightly-contested affair, Duarte turned into his own net eight minutes from time to move Diego Simeone's side closer to the frontrunners in the Spanish top flight.
Atletico started brightly in the opening exchanges with two shots in quick succession from Nico Gonzalez springing David Soria smartly into action in the first seven minutes.
The visitors were unable to make their dominant opening count and were also forced into an early change with Marcos Llorente hobbling off with an injury in the 14th minute.
He was replaced by Antoine Griezmann, with the Frenchman's 43rd-minute effort representing only the fourth shot on target during a low-key first half.
Atletico continued to turn the screw after the break with Pablo Barrios and Giacomo Raspadori seeing shots repelled by Soria, who made an impressive five saves in the match.
But the Getafe goalkeeper could do nothing to prevent Duarte's unfortunate mistake, with the defender turning Raspadori's first-time cross from the left into the bottom-right corner.
Mauro Arambarri came close to snatching a point for Getafe in second-half stoppage time, but his acrobatic effort from inside the penalty area clipped the top of the crossbar.

Data Debrief: Atleti roll on but are far from convincing
Atletico appeared set to drop more points in on rivals Barcelona and Real Madrid in the race for the title, but a moment of fortune in a game lacking clear-cut chances got them over the line to keep touch at the summit.
Indeed, Simeone's men registered an expected goals (xG) total of 1.13 from their 13 efforts, six of which were on target, though they were able to limit Getafe to just one shot at Juan Musso's net from the eight they attempted, which generated an xG of 0.57.
And Duarte's blunder means Atletico have now scored in all 13 of their LaLiga matches in 2025-26 (25 goals in total), their longest scoring streak to start a campaign since 1978-79, when they found the back of the net 27 times.
Atleti are also now unbeaten in their last 11 league matches (W8 D4), their longest such run in the competition since a 13-match streak between January and April 2023 (W10 D3).
