Granada vs Barcelona: Predictions, odds & betting tips

  /  autty

Barcelona head to the Estadio Nuevo Los Carmenes on Saturday evening to face Granada in La Liga as the Blaugrana aim to continue to build momentum under new manager Xavi Hernandez.

The Catalans have won three of their last four matches in all competitions and, while they are still a work in progress, there are green shoots of recovery starting to be seen.

Granada for their part are also in decent form, unbeaten in their last six league games during which time they have beaten champions Atletico Madrid.

The Andalusians have caused Barcelona problems in the last few seasons, with the Blaugrana winning just two of their last five encounters.

Barca needed an injury-time equaliser to salvage a 1-1 draw at Camp Nou when the sides met in September, while last season Granada recorded their first away win against the Catalans.

Granada are offered at 15/4 (4.75) with bet365 while Barcelona can be backed at 8/11 (1.73) and the draw at 14/5 (3.80).

Luuk de Jong was the match-winner last weekend for Barcelona, scoring the only goal of the game in their 1-0 win at Mallorca and the Dutch forward can be backed at 9/2 (5.50) to break the deadlock once again.

Young forward Ferran Jutgla already has a couple of goals in his short Barca career and can be backed at 10/1 (11.00) to score first while Granada's Colombian striker Luis Suarez is available at 6/1 (7.00).

Barcelona were in action in midweek in the Copa del Rey where they needed to come from behind to beat third-tier Linares after trailing at the break.

The Catalans have shown plenty of spirit in the last few weeks in grinding out results, yet they remain vulnerable defensively and have only kept one clean sheet in their last eight matches.

Granada for their part boast a formidable scoring record, having netted in every game they have played in front of their own fans this season and, in Luis Suarez and Jorge Molina, they boast an excellent striking partnership.

There should be plenty of interest in backing the hosts to score and Barcelona will be even more susceptible given the injury to towering centre-back Ronaldo Araujo.

Both teams to score looks a nailed-on selection at 7/10 (1.70), while backing Granada to score over 1.5 goals at 9/4 (3.25) could be an interesting value bet.
