Manchester City centre-back Eric Garcia has been Barcelona's primary transfer target to strengthen their defence and Pep Guardiola hasn't ruled out losing his player to the Blaugrana.
When asked whether Garcia could depart the Sky Blues, the Catalan coach avoided giving a clear response regarding his compatriot's future.
"I hope [Garcia won't leave] but maybe the people from Barcelona know more than me," Guardiola told the press.
"I don't know what is going to happen but maybe it is going to happen."
Garcia's contract comes to an end in June and it remains to be seen whether Barcelona will reach an agreement to bring in their former defender on free in June or pay a certain amount to acquire his services in January.
