Former Middlesbrough striker Hamilton Ricard has urged James Rodriguez to enjoy himself in the Premier League.
The Colombian midfielder is set to complete a move to Everton from Real Madrid in the coming days.
"I hope he enjoys a footballer's life in England, it's a real glamour," Ricard told MARCA Claro Colombia.
"It's the best. They put everything at your service.
"Football is their life and it's another goal in their life.
"It's a different life, different football, different club...
"Raise your game and be a starter again."
James will join up with international teammate Yerry Mina at Goodison Park.
"He always helps a teammate that speaks Spanish, a Colombian that's there," Ricard assured.
"He knows the city, the surroundings... he'll take you wherever.
"Yerry will lend him a hand."
