How many shirts do Real Madrid sell per year?

The Real Madrid jersey is set to be one of the most popular gifts this Christmas in homes around the world—if it isn’t already. So far this year, the white jersey has sold more than three million units.

According to a study by the Euroméricas Sport Marketing agency, reported by several Latin American media outlets, the Real Madrid jersey is the world’s best-selling football shirt in 2025, with 3,133,000 units sold. The popularity of players such as Mbappé and Vinicius has been a key driver of these sales.

Beyond being a milestone, these figures highlight a cornerstone of Real Madrid’s economic strategy. Marketing revenue has become the club’s largest source of income.

According to the latest financial report, 43% of last season’s (2024–2025) revenue, €506.2 million, came from marketing, representing an increase of more than 18% compared to the previous year. For the current season, the club projects marketing revenue of €539.7 million. Combined with income from stadium operations, these sources are expected to account for 75% of the club’s total financial resources.

With over three million jerseys sold, Real Madrid’s white shirt leads ahead of Barcelona, PSG, Bayern Munich, and Inter Miami, the latter benefiting from having Messi in their squad. While these four clubs have sold over two million jerseys each, none have reached the three-million mark achieved by Real Madrid.

Completing the list of the top ten jersey-selling clubs are Boca Juniors, Manchester United, Flamengo, Chelsea, and Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al-Nassr, all of which have surpassed one million sales.
