Arsenal fans are adamant that Bukayo Saka is worth at least double, it not triple, of what Mykhailo Mudryk is valued at after he snubbed the Gunners for Chelsea
However, at the 11th hour, Chelsea hijacked the £88million deal and Mudryk was later unveiled at Stamford Bridge. Following Saka's impressive display for England, large sections of the Arsenal fanbase have claimed that the Hale End graduate must be worth twice, some times thrice, as much as the Ukrainian.
So, with that being said, football.london have compared the true market values of Saka and Mudryk using the CIES Football Observatory database. The Arsenal star, who despite only having 18 months or so remaining on his contract, is priced at €120million (£105.8million).
The Chelsea ace, however, is valued at just €25million (£22million) despite having penned a long-term deal in the summer. While there may be some hesitancy around the valuations, a CIES statement reads: "This tool presents price ranges for all of big-5 league players with a sufficient experience level. The right price estimates are available on a consultancy basis."
"With Mudryk I was very excited about that," Wright said, in January. "With the money it started to get into the realm where it could knock us off our axis in terms of what we’re trying to do. He looks like the kind of guy that would fit into our group.
"We cannot talk about how much money he wants to take for whatever reason. I’m not even going there if I’m being totally honest. I was just disappointed we weren’t able to get him because of how good he is."
