Lautaro Martinez insists he is happy at Inter Milan but admits he does not know whether his long-term future resides with the club.
Martinez was strongly linked with a move to Barcelona in the summer but Inter's asking price of £90m proved far too steep with the Catalan club's finances having been hit hard by the Covid-19 pandemic.
The Argentine striker has started the season well, scoring three goals in five Serie A games, and says he is fully focused on Inter, for now.
Speaking to the press ahead of his side's Champions League clash against Shakhtar Donetsk, he said: 'I work every day to improve. Today I am an Inter player and I want to do the best of the team.
'I'm happy, we work every day, we want to win and to bring Inter as high as possible.
'I don't know what will happen tomorrow, today I can say that I am at Inter and that I'm happy.'
Martinez has built a strong relationship with the club's fans and he made sure to acknowledge them.
The 23-year-old added: 'I thank the fans for all their affection, the same goes for all the people who work for the club and who have always been close to me.'
His current contract is due to expire in 2023.
