The English midfielder is rediscovering his best form again with four goals and a couple of assists in December.
Unlike last year, when Jude Bellingham went from strength to strength during his debut season at Real Madrid, this season has been much tougher for him. He missed four matches right at the start of LaLiga with a muscle injury and since his return in late September, he’s been trying to build back his rhythm.
He has gradually regained his form of old, scoring in six consecutive games, and once again playing a key role for Ancelotti’s team in the fight for top spot with Barcelona and Atlético.
Bellingham scoring with regularity again
His excellent performances during the past month - with goals against Getafe, Athletic, Girona and Rayo have earned him LaLiga’s Player of the Month award for December - an accolade that he won twice last season. It caps a productive week for the England international, who was also recognized in Dubai on Friday, picking up both the Best Midfielder and Maradona Awards at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony.
In addition to winning individual awards, Jude boosted his own honors in 2024 collecting five winners' medals. He’s also cemented his place as a reference in Ancelotti’s first-choice XI, forging an understanding up front with Vinicius and Mbappé.
Bellingham shines again in LaLiga
With his award for Best Player of the Month for December in LaLiga EA Sports with Real Madrid, Bellingham has now won the distinction three times.
He is still just 21 years old but is already one of the key figures in the Spanish game - which is even more impressive considering he is a foreign player.
Next up for Jude and Madrid, a trip to Mestalla to face struggling Valencia on Friday.
