At the 2026 Ballon d'Or awards ceremony, Ronaldo announced Kane as the winner of the prestigious annual award, which was met with thunderous applause.
The camera showed that while the entire audience stood to applaud Kane, Yamal remained seated with a serious expression before eventually joining in. This moment quickly sparked heated discussion online.
Some viewers speculated that Yamal's delayed reaction might be related to not winning the award himself. However, based solely on this video, it is impossible to determine his true thoughts at that moment. The incident became one of the most talked-about moments of this year's Ballon d'Or ceremony.
