According to Mundo Deportivo, when asked about rumors of taking over as Real Madrid manager, Klopp said that Mourinho is there and he had no comment.

Jürgen Klopp, 59, had been frequently mentioned as a candidate for the Real Madrid managerial position. In fact, had Enrique Riquelme won the election, Klopp would have been his preferred choice. Ultimately, Florentino selected Mourinho instead.

In an interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, Klopp addressed speculation about Real Madrid and discussed the FIFA World Cup. When asked about the rumors of potentially managing Real Madrid, he said: "If I answer this question, everything I said before will disappear, it will be erased. José is there, and all is well. So, no comment." Klopp made clear that discussing Real Madrid would overshadow his previous remarks about the FIFA World Cup.

Regarding the FIFA World Cup, Klopp expressed optimism about Germany's chances. He stated: "All the favorites will reach the quarterfinals because they have the stronger advantage." Klopp also specifically discussed Carlo Ancelotti's role with the Brazilian national team, saying: "If I were Brazilian and someone asked me who the perfect national team coach was, I would have no doubt: Carlo. He just needs one look to manage any national team. I think Brazil has great potential, but they need someone to unlock it. They lack a bit of tactical discipline, and there's no one better than Carlo to help them improve. Carlo is incredible, and Brazilians are fortunate."

On the controversy surrounding water breaks at the World Cup, Klopp said: "I understand this is a legitimate discussion. If the temperature is around 30 to 40 degrees Celsius, water breaks are absolutely necessary. But I think the problem isn't the breaks themselves, but their duration and what TV stations or FIFA do during them." On his overall impression of the tournament: "I see a strong desire to win, to play, and to score goals here. There's no time-wasting; smaller teams want to make an impression, and the stronger teams want to win and advance quickly. I think the overall level is very high, higher than I expected."

When asked if he would return to coaching, Klopp simply replied: "I train every day in the gym... just kidding. We'll see later."
