Jurgen Klopp has encouraged Liverpool fans to travel to Paris for their Champions League final with Real Madrid, even if they don't have a ticket.
The Reds booked their place at the Stade de France after they secured a 5-2 aggregate victory over Villarreal in their semi-final.
They are set to face Champions League comeback kings Real Madrid in what is expected to be a highly competitive tie, as two of the world's best teams face off against each other.
However, only 20,000 lucky Liverpool fans will have the pleasure of witnessing it in the flesh – around 26.1% of the selected stadium.
The club confirmed the Reds and their opponents Real Madrid would receive just below a quarter of the possible allocation each for the prestigious final.
The remaining tickets are allocated to 'fans worldwide' (12,000) with the rest going to national associations, commercial partners, broadcasters, and UEFA's official hospitality programme (23,000).
And it's fair to say the allocation split has left the Liverpool manager confused.
Speaking prior to his side's game against Tottenham Hotspur, Klopp queried: “Is it right that we only get 20,000, they get 20,000 and there's 75,000 in?”
“That makes 35,000 (left over) what?? Where are these tickets (going)?
“The tickets are really expensive and I cannot be more appreciative or more thankful of what the people are doing.”
Fans always travel in numbers to big finals, which are always over-subscribed, sample the atmosphere in the host city, and in the hope over somehow securing a ticket.
Klopp risked the wrath of Swiss officials when they reached the Europa League final in his first season.
He urged as many fans as possible to descend on Basel to create a party atmosphere and they duly obliged and the German wants a similar group to head to Paris on May 28 final but he is confident Paris as the larger city can cope.
“I hope they all can make it somehow and can create – of course they will – an incredible atmosphere. It's nice,” he added.
“If you don't get a ticket – I don't want to invite people to Paris but this time it's big enough and I did this last time for Basel in Switzerland and it was 'Oops'.
“But I think Paris is big enough to go there without a ticket and have a good time, behave yourself but be in the best possible mood.
“These kind of things are a great thing and if you can't go there then watch it here in any kind of surrounding, it will be absolutely fantastic.
“It's difficult to get there and whoever followed us all the time or only one time I can only say 'thank you very much, you have made it really special'.
“Wherever we were, they made it our ground. The boys won all the away games in this campaign which is absolutely incredible because we had so much support where we were.”
