Toni Kroos has revealed his plans to retire at Real Madrid after seven years at the club.

Kroos joined the Spanish giants from Bayern Munich in 2014 and has won three Champions League trophies and two LaLiga titles among 13 honours during his time at the club.

Kroos has also surpassed Uli Stielike in the standing for the most appearances made by a German player at the Santiago Bernabeu - reaching a total of 309 outings for Madrid.

Having made such an impact at Madrid, Kroos told Real Madrid TV that he plans to remain at the club. He said: 'I try to give my best in every game and every pass I make that doesn't reach my team-mate annoys me.

'I try to strive for perfection in this sense, although you can never be perfect.

'I practice it and I've been working on it continuously for many years.

'As I've always said, my idea is to retire here and that's what I'm going to try to do.'

Kroos joined the Spanish giants, Real Madrid, in 2014 in a big-money switch from Bayern Munich.

Since his arrival, Kroos has enjoyed a trophy-laden period in the Spanish capital, winning the LaLiga and three Champions Leagues.

Having featured 309 times for Madrid, Kroos has also edged past Uli Stielike in total number of games played for Madrid.

Speaking of the milestone, he said: 'It's something special.

'When you look at the Germans who have played here you realise that they are big names: Netzer, Schuster or Stielike.

'Overtaking Stielike, who is a club legend, makes me really happy. It's a special record and I'm delighted to get to this point.'
