Antoine Griezmann's love of basketball is no secret, and the biggest star of the last decade in the NBA is LeBron James, yet such is popularity that the French forward paid homage to the Los Angeles Laker.
After scoring his second goal on his Camp Nou debut, Griezmann received a handful of red and blue confetti from a staff member near the corner before throwing it up in the air and posing as it rained down.
The Frenchman scored twice, the second being particularly memorable with a cut inside and curling finish.
And he also explained the way how he celebrate his second goal: "The celebration? I liked what LeBron [James] did and tried to copy him."
This began a social media back-and-forth between the pair, in which Griezmann labelled the American as his idol.
"Are you ready to change chalk for confetti? Thank you, Idol!"
