Leganes survived a scare against FC Andorra to book their place in the next round of the Copa del Rey on Tuesday night.

The LaLiga Santander side were taken to penalties by their third-tier opponents, who are owned by Gerard Pique's Kosmos Holding Group.

FC Andorra took the lead during the first half when Mouhamadou Keita found the top corner with a thunderous shot from the edge of the area.

Guido Carrillo equalised for the visitors shortly after the hour mark, tapping in Aitor Ruibal's low cross from close range.

After a pretty frantic 30 minutes of extra time which saw a crucial save from Leganes' Juan Soriano, the match went to penalties.

After Miguel Banuz had saved from Carrillo and Ruibal, Moussa Sidibe had the chance to send FC Andorra through, but got his Panenka attempt all wrong.

The shootout went into sudden death and, after two kicks scored apiece, Soriano saved from Oriol Dot to secure Leganes' place in the next round.
