Summer signing Mohamed Bayo has been exiled from Lille's first-team squad after he was spotted clubbing the night before the 7-1 defeat to Paris Saint-Germain on Sunday.
The Guinean was not selected to play in the match at the Stade Pierre-Mauroy by manager Paulo Fonseca due to his actions.
The 24-year-old striker only joined the club in the summer in a £10million move from Ligue 1 side Clermont Foot and had been a transfer target for Premier League club's such as West Ham United at one point.
The club have now reportedly fined the Bayo £65,000, according to AFP, via The42 and he will now have to train with the second team, which competes in the fifth-tier of French football.
Lille's president Olivier Letang furiously slammed the player for not showing the club respect through his actions.
He told Amazon Prime: 'It is a lack of respect for the club.
'A lack of respect for the coaching staff and also our supporters.
'We were, along with the coach, very annoyed, even furious, about this behaviour that for us is not tolerable.'
Bayo had played in Lille's first two fixtures of the season but failed to score or provide an assist in either game.
Lille are currently 12th in Ligue one after picking up four points in their opening three fixtures, which includes a 4-1 over Auxerre and a 1-1 draw against Nantes as well as the hammering by PSG.
Before making the move to Lille, he had scored 37 times in 80 games for Clermont as well as providing 12 assists.
