Senad Lulic grabbed his first goal of the season when Lazio won the Supercoppa Italiana and admitted it “was even sweeter” to beat Juventus for the second time.
The 33-year-old made it 2-1 for the Biancocelesti during their 3-1 win against Juventus on Sunday and he admitted his first goal this year was “important”.
“The goal was important,” the Bosnia international told the Corriere dello Sport. “But the team counts more.
The midfielder said they were thrilled to be playing in another Supercoppa, as it represents their success from last season.
Lazio came to the game after a 3-1 win against the Bianconeri in the League and Lulic has admitted it feels even better after the second time in a month.
“Heading to this match was nice, because we came from our success in the Coppa Italia.
“But beating Juventus again, after having already won against them in the League, was even sweeter.”
