Manchester United have no intention of selling Sesko despite Barcelona and Atletico Madrid links

The Manchester Evening News reported that despite links from Western media involving Barcelona, Atletico Madrid, and Sesko, Manchester United has no intention of selling the forward.

According to Spanish newspaper Marca, Lewandowski is set to leave Barcelona after four years at Camp Nou, and the club needs to sign a new striker this summer. Sesko is among the players Barcelona is considering.

Barcelona has been pursuing Álvarez from Atletico Madrid, but the transfer of the Argentine forward has not been finalized, prompting the club to examine other striking alternatives.

Marca reported that the shortlist includes Sesko and Borussia Dortmund striker Serhou Guirassy. There are also reports that if Álvarez eventually leaves, Atletico Madrid will also target Sesko.

However, Manchester United has directly denied these rumors. The Slovenian forward has only completed one season at Old Trafford, and the club has no intention of selling him.

Last summer, Manchester United signed Sesko from RB Leipzig for £73 million. After a slow start to the season, he excelled in the second half, scoring 12 goals in 32 appearances overall, including 11 Premier League goals—averaging one goal every 149 minutes.

Following Hojlund's departure to Napoli, Manchester United is pleased with the 23-year-old forward's contribution in his debut season and views him as the club's long-term leading number nine.
