The 23-year-old senses the moment to start may come soon under new coach Albert Celades, after two substitute appearances.
He even scored against Barcelona, albeit a late consolation from the bench.
For Celta Vigo, he showed that he can score goals with a spectacular two seasons there, but hasn't had the chance to lead the Valencia attack after waiting a long adaption period with Marcelino.
Celades prefers a central striker with two quick wide forwards on either side and so far the coach has used Kevin Gameiro as the centre-forward.
It will be difficult to see both play together, even if each striker got a goal at the Camp Nou.
