Messi has a 'hard chat' with assistant coach Sarabia after behaviour in Clasico

Barcelona were defeated by Real Madrid in El Clasico last weekend.

Los Blancos took the lead when Vinicius Jr struck the opener with 20 minutes remaining.

And Mariano came off the bench to condemn Barcelona to defeat when he scored Real Madrid's second in stoppage-time.

Barcelona were far from their best during the game and Quique Setien's assistant, Eder Sarabia, was not a happy man.

Sarabia was extremely animated on the touchline and he let out his frustration on the players, including Antoine Griezmann.

He erupted when the Frenchman missed a chance in the opening 45 minutes.

"F*cking hell, Antoine, stick it away! "Shoot, for f*ck's sake!" He commented, per Goal.

An unnamed player was also criticised: "He's not doing any of the things he's supposed to be doing!" Sarabia said.

And he also provided Setien with some tactical advice, saying: "Our defensive line shouldn't be so far back, because they find more space [between the lines] and Benzema drops in and picks it up, and then they put us on the back foot," Sarabia said. "We need to limit those spaces."

He's also seen screaming instructions at Lionel Messi at one point.

But his behaviour has not gone down well with Barca players.

According to Cope, they are said to be upset with Sarabia's touchline behaviour and believe 'he is not the appropriate person to lead the team from the bench'.

And one player that thinks that way is Messi.

According to ESPN journalist Moisés Llorens, Messi has had a 'hard chat' with Sarabia about his touchline behaviour and has told him exactly what he thinks.

Llorens adds that despite his intense behaviour, Sarabia had no problems with anyone before now.

It'll be interesting to see whether Sarabia tones down his passion on the sidelines in future matches.
