Milan were unable to sign Luka Modric and Angel Correa until the end of the transfer window, the club's chief football officer Zvonimir Boban explained these in an interview.
Boban said: "Modric is an extraordinary Milan fan, but we couldn't get him, we never agreed with Real Madrid. Modric himself does not want to leave Madrid after a bad season.
"For Correa, we don't have enough money. We have a good group of players and we want to sign young players with experience and ability. I believe the team will improve and get back to where we belong."
