According to journalist Moretto and Marca, Atlético Madrid have submitted an official offer to Bayern Munich for the transfer of Leon Goretzka, and Bayern will decide the player’s future within the coming hours.

Despite Goretzka having previously stated his intention to see out his contract, which expires on June 30, and Bayern having no plans to extend the deal, the visit of Atlético’s sporting director Mateu Alemany ultimately changed the player’s mind.
He is now ready and willing to embrace a new challenge. Once the player was persuaded, reaching an agreement with Bayern is not expected to be difficult, as the club is keen to reduce its high wage bill.
Atlético’s willingness to cover the player’s €8.5 million salary for the remainder of the season has laid the groundwork for a potential deal. Against this backdrop, Bayern initially set an asking price of around €10 million for Goretzka, but an offer from Atlético worth between €20 million and €30 million is also expected to be successful.
Atlético Madrid have now tabled an official bid for the German midfielder, and Bayern are set to decide on his future in the next few hours.
