Former Real Madrid forward Fernando Morientes expects Los Blancos to sign a striker for the upcoming season.
The team have struggled to find goals from their forwards after Cristiano Ronaldo's departure, despite the best attempts of Karim Benzema, and the 43-year-old insisted that such an acquisition will benefit Madrid.
"I hope that Real Madrid will sign a striker for next season," he told Radio MARCA.
"It would a very good fit for the squad."
Finally, following Radomir Antic's criticism on Luka Modric, Morientes agreed that the Croatian has not managed to reach his best level this season.
"For me, this year he has not been at the level we are accustomed to seeing," he stated.
