Former Scotland star Charlie Mulgrew has spoken on the prospects of Scott McTominay.

A resounding 3-0 win for Brazil in the final group stage games took the top two spots out of reach for Scotland who have finished 3rd in their Group under manager Steve Clarke.
McTominay sent his country to the World Cup with a bicycle kick against Denmark last November but has had a slow start to the tournament so far.
A Serie A title, MVP award and 27 goals through 80 appearances in all competitions proves that McTominay has vast amounts of quality as he thrives in Italy.
However, as he fails to impress for Scotland, Mulgrew spoke to [a href="https://www.boylesports.com/sports/football/competition/international-world-cup"]BOYLE Sports[/a], who offer the latest World Cup betting as he has backed the midfielder who he believes has benefitted from watching legendary player Cristiano Ronaldo over the years which may have inspired the bicycle kick.
“He's a huge player for Scotland and somebody who can get in the box, is good in the air, and almost feels like he's learned a lot from Cristiano Ronaldo and watched Ronaldo closely.
“That's what it feels like to me. I've not spoken to him, but it seems like he's learned a lot watching him.”
Mulgrew continued on McTominay’s future as he believes he could thrive in La Liga as transfer rumours start to crop up this summer.
“Right now McTominay is fine where he is but, I mean, there's no reason why he can't go to Barcelona or Real Madrid. If he keeps producing for Napoli and he keeps scoring in big moments, then that's a natural progression to one of the big Spanish clubs.
“I don't see why not. It seems like Real Madrid would be more of a fit than Barcelona for me. He seems like more of a Real Madrid player than a Barcelona player, but nothing in football would surprise me. If he ended up there, I wouldn't be surprised.”
Paris Saint-Germain are weighing up a surprise move for McTominay this summer but the Scottish icon is unlikely to leave Napoli where he looks at home.
