GARY NEVILLE was interrupted on live TV by rowdy England fans to leave his fellow pundits in stitches.
The former Manchester United full-back performed a double-whammy yesterday for the broadcaster.
He firstly joined Ian Wright and Roy Keane in the studio for England’s dramatic 2-1 victory over Slovakia in the last-16 of Euro 2024.
Neville celebrated wildly with Wright when Jude Bellingham’s bicycle kick rescued Gareth Southgate and his side with just 85 seconds left before Harry Kane won it in extra-time.
The 49-year-old, who was capped 85 times by the Three Lions, then stayed on to work alongside Eni Aluko and Gaizka Mendieta for Spain’s 4-1 triumph against Georgia.
Neville had regained his composure by this point during the evening’s coverage and was discussing England’s issues.
However, in the background viewers could hear singing from a group.
And just as he was in full rant about what Southgate’s side needed to do to go on and win it, he was suddenly drowned out by a chorus of “Hey Jude” from nearby England fans in honour of Bellingham.
Neville could not stop himself from laughing as both Aluko, Mendieta and host Mark Pougatch joined in the chuckling.
“We just need a few pints like they’ve had,” joked Neville.
The ex-England No.2 to Roy Hodgson then attempted to try and continue to state his case only for the chant to continue to dominate the airwaves.
Neville had earlier slammed Southgate’s tactics and demanded three substitutions were made at half-time against Slovakia.
England were dire in the opening 45 minutes and went in at the break 1-0 down after Ivan Schranz's strike.
With the ex-England right-back saying a change out wide was needed, with Cole Palmer and Anthony Gordon coming on.
And Neville wanted Trent Alexander-Arnold to replace Kieran Trippier, so Kyle Walker could switch flanks to left-back.
However, he was stunned earlier in the day before kick-off by his old United team-mate.
Keane shocked Neville with a crude four-word outburst during the coverage
Keane tipped the Three Lions to reach the quarter-finals in line with their status as favourites, but it was his follow up remark that had his team-mate in stitches.
Giving his prediction for the match, Keane exclaimed: “I can't see anything but an England win.”
In response, Neville said: “He's gone early, he's gone early!”
This prompted Keane to quip: “Story of my life!”
The Irishman's delivery reduced Neville to hysterics alongside him in the studio.
Keane and Neville's relationship dates back to their time together at Old Trafford.
The pair made 322 appearances together for United, winning 17 major trophies with the club.
