On July 30, Newcastle local media "Chronicle Live" team reporter Lee Ryder confirmed that Howe is about to leave, Howe admitted after the friendly match in the early hours of yesterday that he has completely lost control over Newcastle's transfers.

According to Lee Ryder, Howe has informed Newcastle that he wants to leave, and after the friendly match against Bristol City, he admitted that he has lost control over transfers.

Regarding Guimaraes's transfer, Howe said: "It is what it is, we can't control everything that happens here, we can only ensure that when Guimaraes comes back, we will take good care of him, let him train well, and I believe he will do it. He continues to play an important role as always."

Newcastle's transfer operations this summer can be described as bold, selling two core players, Gordon and Tonali, and Guimaraes has also been continuously linked with Arsenal for a transfer. With the transfer income from Gordon and Tonali, Newcastle bought four young players, the oldest of whom is 20 years old, and the most expensive, Bazoumana Touré, cost the team 50 million euros.
