Mbappe and Neymar formed one of the most devastating cores in 2021. The PSG duo’s incredible scoring ability was complemented by the addition of Argentinian legend Lionel Messi. They were the clear favorites during the Champions League, heading into the tournament with unbelievable hype surrounding them.
Unfortunately, PSG was unable to make it far in the Champions League. They lost in heartbreaking fashion to Real Madrid in the round of 16. That loss, along with the uncertainty of Mbappe’s future with the team, caused a lot of discord amongst fans. Now, luckily for them, the French superstar has decided to continue his career with Saint-Germain.
Can PSG redeem their heartbreaking loss in the round of 16? It’s certainly not going to be an easy task for them. The star-studded nature of their roster paints a huge target on their back. However, that same star talent can take them all the way to the top of the world. Mbappe staying securely with the team should only help their morale.
