Neymar's father insists he won't negotiate a return for his son to Barcelona

Neymar's father has poured cold water on any potential return to Barcelona as he has said that his son will stay at Paris-Saint-Germain.

The Brazilian superstar has been heavily linked with a move to the Nou Camp in recent times, despite leaving the club for a world record fee in 2017.

But ESPN Brazil have reported that Neymar Santos Senior has said that his son won't be a negotiating a return to the La Liga club.

Asked about a possible trip to Spain to negotiate his son's return to his former club, his father said: "This is not the case. I'm in Brazil and stay here.'

Despite winning many trophies in Spain, Neymar decided to leave Barcelona for PSG for a world record £198 million two years ago.

However his spell at PSG has not gone fully to plan and it is reported that he is not happy with life in Paris.

The Brazil star has struggled with injuries in recent times having being ruled out of the summer's Copa America and just making the five appearances so far for PSG this season.

The Brazil star is currently on the comeback trail after injury ruled him out of the Copa America.

Despite his father's claims, Neymar was reportedly very keen on securing a return to La Liga during the summer with both Barcelona and Real Madrid heavily linked.
