FC Barcelona has reached an agreement with the left-back from La Selva del Camp to extend his contract for three more seasons
FC Barcelona and player Jofre Torrents have reached an agreement to extend the full-back's contract for three more seasons, so he will remain linked to the Club until June 30, 2028.
The signing ceremony was attended by the manager responsible for Youth Football, Joan Soler, and the director of Youth Football, José Ramon Alexanco.
Eighth season at the Club
Jofre Torrents, born on January 28, 2007, arrived at Barça in the summer of 2017 from Reus Deportiu. He joined as a first-year youth player, and climbed the ranks, developing into a winger with experience.
The La Selva del Camp player is in his second year at the youth team, and has already made his debut with Barça Atlètic this season. He started the season with the Youth A team, despite having a Youth B license. With Juliano Belletti's team he has played a total of 12 League games, five UEFA Youth League games and one Copa del Rey game.
A muscle injury kept him out of action for nearly two months, and once he recovered he joined the Barça Atlètic dynamic. He made his debut with the reserve team on March 15, in the draw against Tarazona at the Johan Cruyff (1-1). Since his debut, Jofre has been a starter at left back for the team managed by Sergi Milà in the six matches that have been played so far.
With this renewal, Barça ensures the continuity until 2028 of a left back with defensive capacity and good additions to the attack, thanks to his physical power.
