Dusan Tadic has linked his future to Ajax on Monday for the coming years. The star player extends his contract with one season until mid-2023 and will start working as a trainer in Amsterdam in the following years.
The 30-year-old Tadic has had an excellent season with Ajax. Partly thanks to the Serbian coach Erik ten Hag's team took the league title, the TOTO KNVB Cup, and the Champions League final was missed by one.
Tadic, which was taken over from Southampton for more than 11 million euros last summer, had a large share in the success. The Serb came in 38 official duels to 38 goals and 24 assists.
The contract extension at Ajax means that Tadic will almost certainly close his career in 2023 at the Johan Cruijff ArenA and then be trained as a trainer at sports complex De Toekomst.
Tadic's career started in 2006 with Serbian Vojvodina, after which FC Groningen brought him to the Netherlands in 2010. The attacker left for FC Twente after two years and, after four seasons, ended up in Southampton after four seasons with Ajax.
