Atletico Madrid have officially announced that team captain Koke has suffered a hamstring injury to his left leg and will miss Saturday's match against Espanyol. He will undergo individual training, with his return date dependent on his recovery progress.
Following previous discomfort in his left leg, Atletico Madrid's medical team conducted imaging tests. The results confirmed that the midfielder sustained a hamstring injury and will therefore miss Saturday's match against Espanyol.
Koke will now undergo physiotherapy and rehabilitation work in the gym. The progress of his recovery will determine when he is available to return to action.
